WHAT ARE GYM-GOERS LOOKING FOR TODAY? LES MILLS IN COLLABORATION WITH IFO HAVE THE ANSWER

A useful survey to outline the needs of the end user and provide a practical guide for identifying customer needs, enhancing the gym's offerings to stand out in an increasingly competitive market. This is the research conducted by Les Mills in collaboration with IFO – International Fitness Observatory, presented yesterday during the first day of RiminiWellness 2025, in a meeting featuring Giorgio Trappolini, Country Manager of Planet Fitness Italy, and Paolo Menconi, Director of IFO. The survey was conducted on a group of athletes who have been training in clubs or gyms for over five years, with an average frequency of three times a week. Key satisfaction drivers include the quality of the equipment and spaces, followed by cleanliness, staff friendliness, professionalism, and a good value for money. Attendance, on the other hand, is driven by the desire to feel fit, followed by the need to relax and lose weight. Personal care, therefore, takes precedence over socialisation. When it comes to preferred activities, toning leads the way, followed by cardio and strength training, with the latter seeing significant growth among the younger generations.

FITNESS FRANCHISING DAY: PERSPECTIVES AND TRENDS IN THE FITNESS BUSINESS

The first edition of Fitness Franchising Day took place at the start of the second day of RiminiWellness, an international event curated by Italian Exhibition Group held at Rimini Expo Centre and along the Riviera until Sunday, June 1. This initiative brings together franchising, finance, real estate, and growth models in the fitness industry. Promoted in collaboration with Affilya, a consulting network that addresses franchising in a cross-cutting manner, the talk provided an opportunity to share high-value insights and deep dive into key issues for the sustainable and scalable growth of companies in the industry. The debate, hosted by Andrea Maria Meschia, CEO of 3io and founding partner of Affilya, featured Maurizio Bottoni, national head of the fitness and wellness sector at ASI, and Luigi Angelini, a consultant specialising in the development of wellness communities. In the afternoon, Fitness Franchising Day continues with a dedicated session for one-on-one meetings between accredited franchisees and some of the most prominent brands in the Italian and international scene, aiming to foster new business synergies.

THE FUTURE OF WELLNESS: PREVENTION, MOVEMENT, AND PUBLIC POLICIES

The second day of RiminiWellness 2025, an international event by Italian Exhibition Group dedicated to fitness, wellness, and sports, held at Rimini Expo Centre and along the Riviera until Sunday, June 1, saw significant participation in the event promoted by The European House – Ambrosetti, titled "Gyms for Health: Fitness as Prevention and Path to Healthy Lifestyles." This event provided an opportunity to discuss the economic, social, and health impacts of sports practice. Moderated by Emiliano Briante, an Ambrosetti partner and head of the Valore Sport Observatory, the meeting addressed some of the most current issues related to promoting movement, prevention, and healthy lifestyles. It also presented the strategic vision "2050 – Italy in Motion." In the panel dedicated to the connection between lifestyle and health, Matteo Conti, Strategic Marketing Director at Amadori, highlighted the educational role that companies can play in promoting healthy habits, especially among young people. Regarding public policies, Daniele Iacò, president of the Italian Committee for Motor Sciences, emphasised the importance of recognising physical activity as a genuine natural remedy, capable of providing long-term preventive benefits. Pino Di Eugenio, CEO of Matrix Fitness, highlighted the fitness industry's perspective, underscoring the value of gyms as local spaces for physical exercise and health awareness. In closing, Saverio Francesco Mennini, head of the department for programming, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and policies supporting the NHS at the Ministry of Health, shared some institutional insights on promoting healthy lifestyles within the framework of current prevention policies. Alongside them, other experts from the academic, scientific, and institutional worlds contributed to building a comprehensive framework, highlighting the potential of sport as a cross-cutting tool for well-being and inclusion.

HYROX LAUNCHES ITS THIRD ITALIAN EDITION AT RIMINIWELLNESS

The second day of RiminiWellness marked the start of the third Italian edition of HYROX, the prestigious international event dedicated to competitive fitness. The opening of the competition was a major moment for the national sports scene, marking the debut of a 3-day format, centred around performance, passion, and pushing limits. The fitness race, which combines running, functional exercises, and strength tests, stands out for its engaging and inclusive approach, with categories including Open, Doubles, Pro, and Relay designed to welcome athletes of all levels. The opening day confirmed the strong interest in an event that has become a benchmark in the industry and one of the most trending disciplines on the global scene.

RIMINIWELLNESS 2025 - DAILY NEWS 29 MAY

IL SOLE 24 ORE, RIMINI, THE ITALIAN CAPITAL OF WELLNESS

In the early afternoon, the results of a survey conducted by Il Sole 24 Ore in collaboration with RiminiWellness were announced. The survey includes a special ranking to map well-being in Italian provinces, based on ten indicators such as health, sports, business, and social participation. The survey, presented by Andrea Gianotti, head of the Sole 24 Ore research centre, reveals that Rimini is the most wellness-oriented province in Italy, excelling in the number of sports companies, gyms, and swimming pools, as well as its academic focus on motor sciences. The analysis is based on official data integrated with original metrics, providing a snapshot of the widespread well-being across the region. Following are Isernia and Trieste, while the Adriatic coastal provinces dominate the top ten. The Emilia-Romagna region stands out as one of the most virtuous in Italy, boasting the highest concentration of economic initiatives related to sports, alongside Lombardy and Trentino-Alto Adige. The study can be downloaded at RiminiWellness 2025.

FOREIGN INVESTMENTS AND NEW EXPANSIONS: IS 2025 THE YEAR OF REVOLUTION?

On the first day of RiminiWellness 2025, the Conference of the General States of Fitness and Wellness was held. Notable attendees included Javier Urbano Lopez, General Manager of GoFit Italy, Samuele Frosio, CEO of RSG Group Italy, and Riccardo Turri, CEO of Starpool. The event was hosted by Luigi Angelini, journalist and creator of the General States. The meeting provided a significant opportunity to explore the evolution of fitness offerings in Italy and outline concrete strategies for its growth. In his speech, Riccardo Turri, CEO of Starpool, highlighted how a clear gap has emerged over the years between the demand from athletes and the supply of gyms. A stagnation that has slowed the recognition of wellness as a fundamental component of sports practice. Today, however, a new phase is beginning, marked by significant opportunities where wellness can finally take centre stage, becoming an integral part of training and recovery. This shift is driven by a greater awareness of the offerings, which are increasingly oriented towards advanced models based on scientific evidence and capable of providing a comprehensive and qualified service. In this scenario, gyms are expected to transform into multidimensional spaces where personal care translates into tailored, effective, and sustainable programmes. This vision was echoed by Samuele Frosio of RSG Group Italia, who emphasised the importance of promoting a structural transformation of the market to make Italy a more athletic country. The goal is ambitious but necessary: to surpass the current 9% gym membership rate and approach the 16% rate in Germany. From this perspective, GoFit's entry into the Italian market holds strategic value. As highlighted by the general manager of GoFit Italia, Javier Urbano Lopez, our country offers an extraordinary opportunity for growth and development, aligning with a vision of accessible, inclusive, and future-oriented well-being.

SPORT FACING THE CHALLENGE OF SUSTAINABILITY: A NEW SPACE FOR DISCUSSION AT RIMINIWELLNESS

Contemporary sport is increasingly called upon to address the major global challenges of the circular economy. The theme at the heart of the "Sport and Sustainability Forum, a challenge to win the future," held on the first day of RiminiWellness 2025, was promoted by Ecopneus, a consortium for the recycling of end-of-life tires (ELTs), in collaboration with Ecomondo. Moderated by Luigi Monfredi, Deputy Director of Rainews24, the meeting gathered high-profile contributions from institutions, both nationally and internationally, underscoring the crucial role of sports in achieving the goals of the 2030 Agenda. Following the opening remarks by Giuseppina Carnimeo, General Manager of Ecopneus, who emphasised the importance of regulations and incentives for the development of the circular economy, Senator Claudio Barbaro, Undersecretary at the Ministry of the Environment, delivered a video message highlighting the urgent need for integrated policies between sports and sustainability. Niclas Svenningsen (UN), a climate policy expert, stressed the potential of sports in the ecological transition. Simona Azzolini (Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership) shared this view, highlighting the risks and opportunities for the sector. From UEFA, Michele Uva outlined the sustainability strategy for European football, while Gloria Zavatta (Milan Cortina 2026 Foundation) shared the experience of the Italian Winter Olympics, focusing on innovation and organisational complexity. From the national context, Giampiero Pastore (CONI) discussed the federations' commitment to ESG practices, while Debora Miccio (Istituto per il Credito Sportivo) presented financing tools for sustainable facilities. Lorenzo Marzoli from Sport e Salute underlined the social value of sports and a more equitable governance model. For the industry, Alessio Cremonese, President of Assosport, highlighted the challenges for manufacturing in balancing technical innovation and sustainability. Leonardo Ghiraldini (NATIVA), former captain of the National rugby team, discussed the role of sport in creating regenerative value. A concrete example was provided by Giorgio Pisano (Ecopneus), who demonstrated how rubber recycled from PFU can be transformed into high-performance, low-impact sports surfaces. The forum concluded with a round table discussion between representatives of sports promotion organisations – ASI, UISP, OPES, ASC, CSI – and the Healthy Cities Network, coordinated by Francesco Caroli.

RIMINIWELLNESS 2025 KICKS OFF: AT THE EXPO AND ALONG THE RIVIERA UNTIL SUNDAY

Rimini (Italy), 29 May 2025Today marks the opening of the 19th edition of RiminiWellness, an international event dedicated to fitness, wellness, sports, and healthy eating, brought to you by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG). The event was opened with greetings from IEG President Maurizio Ermeti, Rimini Mayor Jamil Sadegholvaad, Assosport Confindustria General Manager Manuela Viel, ICE Consumer Goods Office Director Matteo Masini, Emilia-Romagna Regional President Michele de Pascale, and Paralympic athlete Rigivan Ganeshamoorthy.

The event, which will transform Rimini Expo Centre and the Riviera (Italy) into a global stage for promoting healthy lifestyles until Sunday, June 1, has begun to welcome the energy of the public, including enthusiasts, athletes, and industry professionals, for four days dedicated to innovation in wellness on the move.

In his opening remarks, Maurizio Ermeti recalled that "RiminiWellness is an event that continues to stand out for its ability not only to keep up with the times but to stay ahead of them. This year, the event is even more mature from a professional perspective, featuring high-level content for the entire industry and the presence of major international brands. Ample space is dedicated to innovation, thanks to the participation of young companies and research projects. With the slogan "Face Your Shades," we aim to send out a clear message: embracing your vulnerabilities is the first step to overcoming them and living a life of well-being that is authentic and free from stereotypes.

Jamil Sadegholvaad added: "RiminiWellness is not only one of the top events in the national exhibition calendar, it also marks the launch of a programme that aligns with Rimini's identity as a city of wellness and healthy lifestyles. The event extends beyond the exhibition halls with over 200 RiminiWellness OFF events involving the entire city, from Parco del Mare to the new promenade and Piazza sull'Acqua. This is a structural reflection of how the city has become a reference point for those seeking health, movement, and quality of life”.

Manuela Viel recalled: "We have always believed in this fair and are honoured to be a partner of RiminiWellness, an event that has skilfully managed two essential aspects: an increasingly international B2B platform and a wonderful B2C experience where companies can analyse consumers, engage them, and convey messages." There are numerous challenges in the business world: we are beginning to focus on sustainability, issue of internationalization is being addressed, and we are promoting the growth of sports participation, showing that we want to be an active, sport-conscious population”.

Matteo Masini emphasised: "The global dimension of RiminiWellness is supported by efforts to promote the arrival of foreign delegations." Our presence is strengthened through the organisation of a major international mission, where we will welcome delegates from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the United States. These delegates, selected with the support of the ICE network worldwide, will attend an event that highlights Italian excellence and reinforces the presence of Made in Italy in the international wellness landscape.

Michele de Pascale explained that RiminiWellness is "the concrete expression of the regional vision for well-being, development, and social cohesion." Our Sport Valley is a recognised model where sport is an integral part of the regional culture and identity, serving as a true instrument for growth, inclusion, and prevention. We believe that promoting healthy lifestyles not only improves individual health but also strengthens the entire community. This is why promoting movement, well-being, and social interaction is a key driver of our health and social policies, as health is, first and foremost, about prevention”.

Alessandra Locatelli, Minister for Disabilities, also joined the event via video link, stating: "I am pleased to offer my best wishes to this event, as it is crucial for individuals with disabilities or rare degenerative conditions to be able to pursue their well-being through activities and tools dedicated to wellness, including sports and physical activity, with tailored advice and programmes."

Rigivan Ganeshamoorthy, a Paralympian who won Italy's first gold medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympics, is living proof of this: "A medal doesn’t make sport inclusive; inclusivity is the true value of sport." Behind this award lies my past, the hardships and suffering I've endured. It's a gold medal, but the most precious gold is the people who have been close to me, those who have made me so strong in a society that demands strength”.

RIMINIWELLNESS 2025 LIGHTS UP THE EXPO CENTRE AND THE ENTIRE RIVIERA

RiminiWellness 2025 – featuring six large thematic areas spread across 30 halls, with over 350 brands exhibiting and more than 2,000 hours of physical activity – offers a broad and diverse programme. And with RiminiWellness OFF, it extends beyond the expo centre, engaging the entire Riviera and the urban fabric in a full and varied schedule of events that brings wellness and movement to the heart of the city. In the afternoon, the first Sport and Sustainability Forum kicks off, preceded by the usual session on the General States of Fitness and Wellness. Mid-afternoon the results will be announced of the survey conducted by Sole 24 Ore in collaboration with RiminiWellness on "Wellness, the ranking of Italian provinces".

SPORT, TECH AND TRAVEL: MAPPING THE WELLNESS ECONOMY

  • 24.7 billion euros: the value of the sports economy in Italy
  • 55% of Italians train with the help of technology

Rimini, 29 May – 1 June 2025 – Italy is moving, changing habits, and seeking new ways to thrive. Wellness is no longer just a physical matter: today, it all about active lifestyles, digital awareness, experiential tourism, and innovation. RiminiWellness 2025, the international event curated by Italian Exhibition Group, will be held at Rimini Expo Centre and along the Riviera from May 29 to June 1. The event captures the new face of wellness in Italy and anticipates its future developments.

SPORT IN ITALY: WIDESPREAD POPULARITY AND ECONOMIC IMPACT

According to the 2024 Sports Report, produced by Sport e Salute and the Institute for Sports Credit in collaboration with the Minister for Sport and Youth, the Italian sports industry has solidified its position as a key pillar of the national economy, generating a total value of over 24 billion euros, equivalent to approximately 1.4% of the GDP. Beyond its economic dimension, sport is increasingly recognised as a factor of inclusion, a territorial anchor, and a driver of active participation. Across the entire peninsula, there are over 112,000 Amateur Sports Organisations, with a total of more than 13 million Italian members. Among the most popular non-competitive activities, gymnastics and fitness lead with 15.2%, followed by football at 9.2%, dance at 7.1%, athletics at 4.3%, cycling at 4.2%, volleyball at 3.9%, tennis and padel at 3.5%, weightlifting at 3.5%, and basketball at 2.9%. This confirms a broad and diverse sports landscape. Employment is also showing signs of consolidation: in 2022, the industry registered 412,479 workers, marking a 2.5% increase from 2021, when there were 402,291 employees, confirming an ongoing positive trend.

ITALY BALANCING SEDENTARY LIFESTYLES AND A NEW CULTURE OF WELLNESS

According to the Valore Sport 2025 Observatory, conducted by The European House – Ambrosetti, despite the progress made in recent years, Italy remains one of the most sedentary countries in the OECD area. 80.3% of adults and 91.7% of children do not meet the minimum levels of physical activity recommended by the WHO, placing us in fourth place for physical inactivity after Turkey, Portugal, and Greece. Yet, alongside this critical picture, encouraging signs are emerging. Since 2001, the proportion of the population that is completely inactive has decreased by over 7% while continuous sports practice has increased by over 9%, indicating a greater awareness of the importance of movement. In terms of infrastructure, the country has 76,919 sports facilities, with an average of 131 facilities per 100,000 inhabitants, which is lower than in other European countries. However, the rates of inactivity remain high among over 65s (83.6%), individuals with a low level of education (68.6%), women (68.4%), residents of the South and Islands (72.5%), in small towns (71%), and urban suburbs (64.3%). Italy appears to be torn between a tradition of inactivity and a new drive towards well-being. In this context, RiminiWellness stands out as a key event: it promotes a culture of movement and well-being, engaging diverse regions and audiences, and breaking down cultural and social barriers. It's not just a show, it’s a workshop of experiences that helps make fitness more accessible, inclusive, and motivating.

TECHNOLOGY SUPPORTING NEW TRAINING METHODS IN THE GYM

In the new approach to self-care, technology plays a key role in daily workouts. Even in the gym, technology is increasingly present: apps, devices, and digital platforms help monitor activity, integrating with the work of trainers and personalised programmes. Tools such as pedometers, heart rate monitors, and calorie tracking systems are regularly used, reflecting a more conscious and tailored approach. The support of a personal trainer, chosen by one in three Italians, remains central. Frequency is high: nearly one in two people train at least three times a week, and one in seven does five sessions per week. Among the most popular activities are running, yoga, Pilates, gym, soccer, and swimming.  Mental well-being is now the primary motivation, followed by health and physical fitness - a sign of an Italy that is increasingly aware and attentive to its own balance.

WELLNESS IS ALSO DRIVING TOURISM

The growth of wellness is also spreading to tourism, where it is emerging as one of the most significant trends in Italy. According to the latest Global Wellness Economy Monitor 2024, conducted by the Global Wellness Institute, our country recorded 13 million wellness-related trips, with a total expenditure of 19.2 billion dollars. These numbers position Italy among the world's most sought-after destinations for those seeking experiences focused on psycho-physical balance. Wellness tourism is divided into two main categories: primary trips, where the main motivation is wellness, and secondary trips, which integrate healthy activities into stays with other purposes. The latter account for 88% of trips and 85% of spending in the industry, confirming a growing trend: the desire for wellness is also making its way into more traditional business or leisure trips. Italian accommodation facilities are responding to this demand with increasingly targeted services: spas, healthy eating, physical activities, meditation, and tailored treatments.

IEG LAUNCHES THE THIRD EDITION OF RIMINIWELLNESS OFF THE "OFF-SITE" EXPERIENCE BRINGING WELLNESS TO THE LOCAL AREA

·       The extensive calendar of events was presented on Tuesday 27 by the Mayor of Rimini and the CEO of Italian Exhibition Group.

·       From May 29 to June 1, coinciding with RiminiWellness, the city and the Riviera will transform into a vast space dedicated to movement and health.

·       Over 200 free events open to everyone

Rimini, 29 May – 1 June 2025Building on the success of previous initiatives, the third edition of RiminiWellness OFF is set to launch. This "off-site" event, dedicated to the world of fitness and wellness, is promoted by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) and the Municipality of Rimini. The project, which is increasingly strategic on the local wellness scene, will run parallel to RiminiWellness (The Wellness Experience Show, held from May 29 to June 1) with a rich and diverse programme of events dedicated to physical activity, health, and sports. It will transform the entire urban area and the Riviera into a vibrant, lively, and dynamic stage.

RiminiWellness OFF is really an extraordinary opportunity for enhancing the value of the local area and fostering active community involvement, featuring over 200 events that will extend beyond the expo centre to embrace the entire city. From the old town to Parco del Mare, all along coast, every space will become the centrepiece of a collective experience filled with energy and sharing.

"A call to physical activity for everyone—residents, guests, and outdoor sports enthusiasts— that allows us to bring the energy from the expo centre to many areas of the city. This is also an opportunity to showcase the city's redevelopment and urban regeneration. The locations chosen for the 'off-show' programme are designed to enhance the concept of holistic well-being, not just as an active holiday or sporting event, but also as an ideal environment for spending free time," said Rimini Mayor, Jamil Sadegholvaad, during the press conference held at the Town Hall.

As Corrado Peraboni, CEO of Italian Exhibition Group, explained, "RiminiWellness OFF continues to expand the scope of the fair, actively engaging not only the local community but also the numerous visitors expected in the Rimini area." This year's rich calendar, thanks to the synergy between IEG and the Municipality of Rimini, along with the contributions from companies, associations, and sports organisations, extends the event's content to the entire city and the Riviera. This dynamic and inclusive offering, from dawn to dusk, will solidify Rimini's reputation as the capital of physical exercise. A unique opportunity to enhance your well-being by learning new training techniques, allowing everyone to discover what best suits them.

In this edition, RiminiWellness (covering 190,000m2, with 30 halls and 6 themed areas dedicated to fitness, wellness, sports, and healthy eating) will bring together international professionals, leading companies, and enthusiasts to offer an updated and comprehensive view of the latest trends in health, movement, and quality of life, all to be experienced. With the slogan "Face Your Shades," it invites each participant to explore new disciplines, transforming their weaknesses into strengths and advantages.

·       Space also for functional food trends including showcooking, talks and experiential formats proposed by ambassadors and innovative companies

Rimini (Italy), 15 May 2025RiminiWellness, the Italian Exhibition Group event and a global manifesto of fit living, will be back at Rimini Expo Center and on the Riviera from May 29 to June 1 with a 19th edition that will focus on promoting healthy eating as a viaticum for full physical and mental wellness. The six official thematic areas will include the FoodWell Area, which, packed with new ideas in a full program of content, will also feature functional nutrition’s top brands. From protein foods to functional beverages, vegan offers and sports nutrition, a journey between taste and health for a public that is becoming increasingly aware of what they put on the table.

THE FOODWELL AREA'S BIG PROTEIN COMPANIES

The Amadori Group – The Italian Protein Company is the Food Partner of the event for the third consecutive year. As an Italian leader in the agri-food industry, the group reaffirms its commitment to RiminiWellness with a wide range of protein specialties, aimed at strengthening the link between balanced nutrition, physical activity and health; for the occasion it has activated a partnership with an innovative start-up that has developed, on the occasion of RiminiWellness, a test for evaluating muscle performance that can allow early identification of the risk of sarcopenia.

An absolute new entry at the show, Barilla will be a key player with the new Barilla Protein+ line, a high-protein pasta designed for those who practice physical activity and seek the right balance between taste and nutrition. In the Fiteducation® Golden Stage, Barilla will also be offering a copious program of classes between dance and functional and combat training with international experts. Danone HiPRO, also confirmed to attend, will welcome participants in an experiential area equipped with a fitness stage in collaboration with BuddyFit, an online workout platform: an opportunity for attendees to receive personalized workout and nutrition advice and discover the line's protein products. Lastly, FunnyVeg, a consulting agency specializing in the plant-based world, will be back in Rimini with a series of events that combine taste and innovation, such as a workshop on a new fermented pasta with a high fiber and protein content; a gourmet-veg challenge in collaboration with the Kioene brand; and the presentation of Gemme, legume gnocchetti designed for those who want to combine flavor, speed and wellness in the kitchen.

FUNCTIONAL WATERS, WELLNESS ALSO COMES THROUGH HYDRATION

Healthy eating cannot ignore an essential element for physical wellness: hydration. The fortified water trend continues to be of great interest and, for the first time, Levissima+ will be a Hydration Partner, confirming its mission to become a reference point in the wellness field. Given ample space, Levissima+ will have a booth specifically for personal regeneration, where, on Sunday June 1, athlete and influencer, Giulia Calcaterra, will be appearing as special guest. Moreover, in Hall A4, Levissima+ and Jill Cooper will be engaging the public in Super Jump sessions, yoga and functional workouts. At the event, the brand will be supporting its “Let’s Regenerate Together” project aimed at promoting a healthy and environmentally friendly lifestyle. Acqua Sant'Anna will be present with its Sant'Anna PRO line designed for training and sports, especially for those who want to work out every day and feel good, while Acqua Minerale San Benedetto, will participate with Aquaprotein, water with 15 grams of protein, plus zinc and magnesium; Aquavitamin, a line of vitamin drinks in mineral water with the presentation of the new citron flavor; Skincare, with collagen, zinc and hyaluronic acid for a new beauty ritual; and Energade Protein, a replenisher with mineral salts and protein source. Lauretana will once again be a technical sponsor of the Active area by supplying water to all the various stages and activities both inside the Expo Center and at the RiminiWellness OFF settings.

FUNCTIONAL FOOD AND ALTERNATIVE APPROACHES, THE FUTURE OF NUTRITION AT THE SHOW
The FoodWell Area will be further enriched with alternative and creative proposals such as Ketobar, Italy's first and only ketogenic eatery based in Rimini, conceived by former cyclist, Mirco Bastianelli, who will hold a talk entitled “The role of the low-carb diet in sport,” during which Dr. Lorenzo Vieri, a sports physician, will illustrate the positive effects of the ketogenic approach on athletic performance and muscle growth with witness accounts from soccer players Eleonora Goldoni and Asia Bragonzi. Activities will also include a keto showcooking by chef Tomas Marfella and silent mode training sessions led by coach Maximilian Arcidiaco. Lastly, Heinz will be back as the Dressing Partner with offers such as Mayo Veg and Ketchup Zero, together with well-known brands such as Fage, Yoga, Valsoia, Ventura, Bekind, Novi and Mielizia. The latter will present a meeting on Saturday on the benefits of honey in daily nutrition, sponsored by CONAPI, Europe’s largest beekeeper cooperative.

THE AMBASSADORS' STORY

Completing the overview of this area is the Mysurable project developed with Bologna University, which offers cloud-based technology solutions for monitoring functional aging. Furthermore, the nutrition theme will also be expressed through some of the most popular wellness faces, such as Laura Crugnola from the Cotto al Dente community, nutritionist, Hyrox athlete and the edition’s main ambassador, and the 2foodfitlovers, Raffaele Del Piano and Caterina Piccirilli, who will be returning with their successful brands Fitporn and Even Gelato, expressions of the new frontier of functional food.

Inside Hall C7, Technogym will feature a 400m2 gym dedicated to Pure Strength training, equipped with the brand's signature machines and trainers available to offer advice on maximising strength performance. A highly anticipated event is the Squat Clinic, led by Antonio Contenta at the Italian Strength Academy stand, where participants can explore the core principles of this key exercise. Streetlifting Italia, an emerging national organisation, will debut in the same space, offering official competitions and training sessions dedicated to this fast-growing discipline. In a show where strength meets glamour, the FMG International - Fitness Muscle Glamour bodybuilding competition will be hosted for the first time at RiminiWellness, inside the Wellness Arena on Sunday, June 1. Tsunami Nutrition returns to the event with an area hosting a series of celebrities, including Andrea Presti, Gianzcoach, Ludovico Lemme, Insane Screamer, Luca Mastra, and Andrea Mammoli, all led by Valentino Tozzi. Yamamoto, a leading brand in the world of sports supplementation, will also contribute to making the event even more unique with the presence of top athletes to discover at the fair, including Claudio Marchisio, Neil Hill, Gianluca di Lorenzo, Alice Marchisio, Andrea Nathan Martelloni, Patrick Tuor, and many others. Leone 1947, a leading brand in combat sports, confirms its presence and welcomes visitors to its Arena with DJ sets and interactive activities across all four days. In the east pools, Red Bull will energise the space with a Fitness Truck in collaboration with Xenios, featuring training sessions led by athletes like Dorothea Wierer, Claudia Pagnini, and Jonne Koski, as well as prominent content creators such as Jennifer Roncato, Marco Tomasin, and Marta Giunti. Lastly, among the most eagerly awaited events is the return of powerlifting legend, Zahir Khudayarov, who is set to attempt a new world record in the squat with 500 kilograms, following his impressive performance last year.
